Is it cheating?
Is it cheating? I don't think so but I guess it depends on how you look at things. I'm someone that looks for loopholes in site features and takes advantage of things I find that benefit me. I also will exploit a site glitch if it will benefit me. Would you consider this behavior as cheating? If you found or was told of a loophole in a site feature or function that you could exploit it for your benefit, would you do so? |

Manipulating a system within a business? Yes. So you are saying that you would consider it to be wrong if you took advantage of a loophole in a site function or feature? Do your morals change based on how they benefit you? No Are you willing to do something you know is wrong just because you can possibly get away with it? I do it everyday. I don't consider it wrong but some would. Is it hurting anyone? No. In fact, if I find something that has something to do with increasing my point s total many will benefit with me. Is it costing someone something? No Would your moral compass change on the topic if it was your business? No but I would get the loophole or glitch fixed faster when I found out about it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting J.

Look what reappeared. HAHA!!! Think about this.... Why do most experienced bloggers on this site always post the first comment right after they make a post? Is that a loophole? Is it cheating? Is it using the site features to do what you want?

.... why do you bring it up? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ You already know how I feel. So long as you're smart about it. It's not cheating when they cheat us all the damn time. It's payback.

I would not call that cheating. Rather exploit a benefit, if the opportunity offers, as long as it is not to the detriment of others, who in turn can see it as a cheat. I prefer not to do things that are wrong in my thinking and that I do not feel good about. Why do most experienced bloggers on this site always post the first comment right after they make a post? Is that a loophole? No Is it cheating? No Is it using the site features to do what you want? No In my case I use this primarily to thank for commenting, because I do not always have time and energy to answer every comment and to use it too for my blings.

um...i am a free gold baller, because i signed up for icebreaker deal...so i would not judge you, either...if you can legitimately manipulate the site, why not??? just like the first comment on the blog post...or multiple blog posts a day to keep you top on the blog lists...if someone wanna do it, they ought to...no one is stopping...

Getting points from a glitch or from the abnormal use of a site feature is a benefit for sure. Thanks for sharing your beautiful big brain with me today.

I have to disagree that posting the first comment right after adding a post is a loophole. It bypasses the approval process completely and makes a post immediately visible. That's why I do it except it doesn't always work. Sometimes my posts just completely disappear for hours instead.

And you never will. HAHA!!!! Most of my comments are misunderstood by people that don't know me. It happens all the time. It's something that I'm used to. People don't believe me when I say that site changes affect my profile. It stems from a major site overhaul back in 2011 when the site changed to look the way it does now. It's usually has a negative affect but today I noticed that my #8 fan is a friend that deleted her profile months ago. She came back and made another profile. I asked her about the old profile and she said she didn't ask the site to bring it back so why is it there? Also, out of the blue I got 18,000 points and have no idea where it came from. I didn't get a TIP, BID or points from the site. I'm not complaining but....... Thanks for your comments. I hope you have a great weekend.

When I came back to the site in June I got points for reading emails but it topped out at 100. I got about 400 for commenting and voting on blog and Advice Lines posts. That's it. Some of my female friends get 20 points when they respond to emails from male members. It seems to only be ones that pay for their membership. I would love to have that benefit.
