If you are a wrestling fan, you are really going to dig the latest craze to hit pay TV and the Internet -- Carmen Electra’s Naked Women Wrestling League, sponsored by GrandNevada.com. It's beauty, nudity, glamour, strength and wacky wildness all rolled into one eye-popping ring.

Who are these beautiful strong women and why do they bare all for wrestling?

I had a chance to sit down with Mandy Weaver, Cleopatra, Josianne the Pussycat, Annie Social, Miss Bunny and one of the brains behind the concept, Dan Brown a few days after seeing their show to find out the answer to that and more.

But first, rewind to January 16. I headed down to the Docks, a nightclub in Toronto, to catch my first glimpse of naked women wrestling. Having scanned the website before I went, I was expecting something like the WWE with naked women. How right I was!

After my first WWF (now WWE) experience, when The Rock and China showed me how different the television spectacle looks live and in person, I left the Skydome wondering what the heck IS wrestling? I couldn’t decide if it was a sport, ballet, acrobatics, a dance, or some kind of theatre. Whatever it is, it's incredibly entertaining and the NWWL takes it to the limit. (Of course, I’d love to see The Rock wrestle naked, but that’s another article.)

Since this was an invitation-only taping (for a March Pay TV broadcast), the evening ran like a typical TV taping event, stopping and starting while the mostly male fans yelled and hammed it up for the cameras. Some women did the Springer flash only they didn’t get Jerry Beads.

Opting to go up to the second floor balcony instead of trying to score a seat on the floor near the ring, I found the best spot in the house. From my bird’s eye view about thirty feet above the ring, I could take in the entire show. It opened with Earth Eatz Dog, a rock band that got mixed reactions from the flesh thirsty crowd as they waited with baited breath to see some naked girls. And as soon as MC for the evening Carmen Electra hit the stage, everyone immediately started screaming for her to get naked. Alas, she never did. Carmen explained that the first round of matches were “bikini matches.” This meant that the wrestlers wore bikinis while they grappled.

First out was the voluptuous Miss Bunny as referee. She had long red hair and the cutest referee uniform I’ve ever seen. It was a black and white bikini style outfit with a little skirt and black and white striped stockings. The little bra part had bows on the straps that were just adorable, and a nice feminine touch for a hot and sweaty sport. Miss Bunny’s job was cut out for her as the night brought on battling babes of all sizes.

Annie Social was the first wrestler to burst out onto the ramp. Annie wore a big baggy hockey sweater and you knew right away that she was the tough guy. Every wrestler that was introduced had an act or costume before stripping down to her bikini. To keep from spoiling the TV show, I won’t say who fought whom but there were plenty of girls with names like Trish the Dish and April Hunter.

Josianne the Pussycat from Montreal crawled onto the stage, slinking and purring on hands and knees, sliding through the ropes. She arched her back and undulated, inciting the crowd until her opponent grew bored of her antics and tackled Josianne -- and Miss Bunny hadn't even started the match!

One after another, the girls appeared in creative costume before they stripped down to their bikinis and faced off. Ninja Chops, an Asian beauty, flowed gracefully into the ring with a kimono and fans performing a simple dance. Cleopatra the Queen of the Nile was introduced with great fanfare.

Mandy Weaver, often touted as a "southern belle," took to the ring by running up the ropes and screaming at the audience, with her arms out a la Titanic, as if feeding off the masses.

The crowd of mostly men went insane whenever a girl was pinned on her back with her legs spread. And that was with their bikinis on. The girls went through a series of moves and matches, each set ending with a winner. One of the audience's favorite moves seemed to be a kiwi roll which was two women hugging each other and rolling on the floor in a circle.

Finally, after a lengthy intermission, the girls came out matched with the same partners to do it all again -- but this time, much to the crowd's delight, they were stark naked.

Miss Bunny entered the ring and whipped off her top. The first tits of the night, Bunny's large pale breasts were greeted with wild enthusiasm. Each set of wrestlers again entered the ring, only instead of stripping down to a bikini, they stripped all the way.

Watching women wrestle au natural is a fascinating experience. The obvious thrill of watching beautiful naked girls rolling around in the ring is tempered by the realization that these girls are athletes. Their bodies prove it over and over as they body slam each other or jump out of back bridges.

From the balcony I caught all the beautifully rippled back muscles, bulging thighs and toned tummies. As a comrade in bustiness myself, I wondered how the bigger breasted girls like Annie Social, could move around with such speed and fury and not knock themselves or their opponents in the eyes.

Traditional wrestling moves such as jumping from high up the ropes onto the opponent or pinning someone on the floor, or even bending a leg until the opponent begs for mercy all take on a whole different dimension in nakedness. As girls were pinned or rolled into uncompromising positions, the men got whiplash trying to follow all the juicy spreads and gaping pussies before their eyes.

The second round of matches brought out more fun and games in the usual banter and challenges between battling wrestlers over the belt. Jimmy “the Mouth of the South” Hart was popping in now and again to make threats. A well-known WWE wrestler took to the ring, made her spitfire threats, and flounced off.

The highlight of the evening had to be when two bodybuilder women took to the stage. They had teased the audience throughout the show by coming out in bathrobes and threatening the other ladies, but finally, they were going to get naked...er...do battle. These women were buff and strong and beautiful. They had enormous breasts along with enormous muscle tone. Both of them were around 150 pounds and they battled quite impressively. I told the girls later that I’m 150 pounds and I sure as hell don’t look like that!

The night was so exciting, I could hardly wait to interview the girls. What on earth kind of women go into naked wrestling? It turns out the road to wrestling in the raw is a capricious one.
